My wife (musical but not a low brass specialist) just told me that I have as good a sound as John Fletcher. We listened to two recordings, one of me and one of him playing the same piece.
Either she's lying or I've finally got it!! Very happy either way!

Sometimes it is best not to pick at a subject. I say be happy and strive to improve everyday. So no matter what recording, just thank your wife and smile.
