Don't know about "wonderful", but I could agree on fascinating. That's the beauty of Tubenet, you never know what will happen next.

Indeed, it's 9 PM here and still high 60s, not too chilly to hang out outdoors in a t-shirt. It's a relief, after a week or so with temperatures often below 60F.bloke wrote:today's weather report:

Hoping to take advantage of a break in the constant rain heading off to the giants causeway in Ulster in the motor home, going to the Titanic exhibition in Belfast on return leg.

Anticipated that, note that I didn't write "just a t-shirt". But on the weather, I spoke too soon - maybe not summer yet? Weather online says it's 61F, but I think it's below 60F where I am, at 10:30 AM. Miracle if we break 70F.gwwilk wrote: Around here we don't hang out outdoors in just a t-shirt.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Any updates? Or updates of updates? And were you using DynamicMax or not?Rick Denney wrote:While hanging around the ATLAS lab at University of Arizona this week, I finally got VISSIM running realistically modeling a four-phase TTI diamond interchange using the software from an Econolite ASC/3 controller running in the simulation loop.
Yup, just as I had thought. Increasing the cycle length of a four-phase diamond increases delay and congestion.
The question is, though, how cycle length relates to throughput and residual queue persistence.
I'll keep you updated.

Re: Update Update
For the last 3 days (and the next 10 or so to come), I have found it impossible to read the news, check sports scores, or listen to the radio without some fool spoiling the results from the olympics. Why on earth can't people just give you a "spoiler alert" warning before blabbing the results? I get it that these events have already happened, but it is NO fun to watch when you already know what's going to happen.

What's odd to me is that I know folks who are recording the replays to watch even later!bort wrote:For the last 3 days (and the next 10 or so to come), I have found it impossible to read the news, check sports scores, or listen to the radio without some fool spoiling the results from the olympics. On the other hand.... there are probably morons watching the replays hoping for different results!
