While I agree the St. Petersburg is very different... I still personally prefer a deap bowl for it.

All right! So, on the second page, and the sixth day, maybe we have another answer (besides LM 12!)

How about a Laskey 28G? hornguys' favorite Laskey for the 186, by the way. Ordinary width ("28" == 1.28 diameter), deep bowl ("G" - though really don't have any idea how deep.)

Nothing wrong with the 24AW. Like any other mouthpiece, it's not for everyone. Especially bloke. Although, I have been promised evidence that he uses one daily, with some special customizations. I'll post pics when I get the proof.

But cleaning out that particular 24AW should be easier............ 8)

Alan, where are you located? Best bet may be to get to a store that stocks different mouthpieces and will let you try them.
