was created by a couple of guys from New Jersey who ran a candy and flower shop as a way of extorting money from honest workingmen.

I'm sorry to say I was born and raised in the city that spawned this "holiday". As with all things it started out with good intentions and then it became "Valentine's lite".....read all about it:Geez, when I was living in Michigan they had something called "Sweetest Day" and if I remember it was about the 18th of October.

If you please, in the present course of human existence were PC has run rampant and is tatamount to "The Word", I pose to you this alternative to the religous sounding holiday celebrating the mutual love between two consenting parties:
SINGLES AWARENESS DAY.
Let us all clasp hands and stare in awe at the landscape of tomorrow, where no one will ever be short, just vertically challneged, fat, just gravitationally inept, and the mother off all PC, no one is stupid, just mentally challenged. To all of you I bid a day of ease and may the Good Paternal Overseer that can be known by any name that suits you look over you, but not too close as to invade your privacy without a dictum from the Homeland Security Office.
