Tony,

All of the Hungarian Rhapsodie Tuba parts can be found here:

http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Liszt,_Franz" target="_blank

The numbering has gone through some changes in the past 60 years, so it looks like No. 9 was originally published in the orchestral form as 6.

I think I may have wrongly assumed that everyone knew that the Hungarian Rhapsodies were originally written for piano and later orchestrated. Tony alluded to Hungarian Dance #9, this particular Dance was orchestrated and designated as Hungarian Dance #6 instead of #9, thus the confusion. In the past 50 years, there has been a movement to get the orchestrations to line up with the correct piano versions to alleviate, and hopefully eliminate, confusion. Seems neither has been accomplished.

I did not know this. My collection of Liszt parts show this one as #6. Is there an Internet source that shows the correct numbering?

IMSLP lists it as #9, but it is #6. It is #6 on the part as well. But to answer the question, since it is the only thing I'm playing on the concert, I'll play it on F, the Yamaha 822.
