As I approach the completion of my Masters degree I find myself in the awkward position of having to write a bio on myself and I just came from a photo shoot to take head shots and promo pictures so that I can start putting together promo materials for my CV, resume, and bio pages for concert programs. This has been a very tough task talking about myself without trying to be vain. Fortunately, we have a great PR person in the fine arts office, and a great professor of musicology who have both been helping me refine my writings.
Have any of you ever found yourselves in this type of position? If so, any tips for me?

List the facts, and not adjectives. Do that, and you'll be fine.
Speaking of bios though, here's a question -- what is protocol for listing your teacher(s)? Some people list like 10 people they studied with, and it's like what, do you just list every person you ever had one lesson with? I think it should be that if they would consider you to be their student, you should consider them to be your teacher.
