I love all of the little kids NOT sitting still and being quiet!

Truly taking music to the people. How original and uplifting!
Thanks Noel for posting.
PS A few orchestras could learn from that about attracting an audience

Re: high brow flash mob
I've seen another video like this done in mall or train station or airport or some such place .done by an orchestera. I'm gonna go hunt it down and post here .
Here ! !!!.................. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrEk06XXaAw" target="_blank
For what its worth I wouldn't mind being out somewhere and seeing somthing like this by an orchestra.

One thing is missing from both videos, and all the others I've seen so far............
Maybe it's time for an intervention?

Re: high brow flash mob
I think that upto the last group joining the sound was live but the chorale section sounded too good.
The crowd shots would suggest to me that sound equalled the spectacle there looked to be some knowledgeable members of the crowd who knew the score and the words and they looked happy.
The video listing shows that this was a Bank sponsored event so I think it would be safe to assume that the production company polished the footage before posting or as the luvies say "it tickled up nicely in post"
I think a Hungarian orchestra did something similar, last year there was a video on this forum.

Re: high brow flash mob
I've seen this one before but, to me, it is still powerful. It literally brings tears to my eyes. The thought that a piece of music, written nearly 200 years ago by an eccentric who today would probably, at best, be shunned by society could exert that sort of "magnetism" is just "mind-blowing". Who says one person can't make a difference?
