I am guessing, but it was probably an impromptu challenge after the final concert and farewell dinner. Each player (chosen by alphabetical order) had 30 seconds to show off their playing ability and gams. I think there may have been a bit of drinking or other imbibing beforehand, but I don't have any facts to back that up.
