Greyhound/Case Question

Post by Ricko »

For those that have shipped horns via Greyhound

If I were to ship a horn via Greyhound is it best to do the beachball in the bell, horn in hard case, case suspended in bubble wrap in larger box thing, or is doing the beachball in bell in hard case sufficient for a 1/2 cross country trip?

Haven't yet completely decided on how to get a horn from A to B... alternative is a similar to the first scenario above, strapped to a pallet going via LTL carrier.

Thanks

I'm not sure if every station is as strict as the ones I've shipped from. However, from my experience even if the horn is in a case, the case has to be covered by some type of protection. I put a couple of layers of bubble wrap around the outside of an empty case I shipped once, and that was enough for them.
