While scrolling through the Rudolf Meinl website, I saw that there were two different piston CC tubas listed. I thought they just made the 4345, but what is the other one listed under the 4/4 link?

They need to make that big 6/4 BBb in piston too.
Brass Band Tacoma
Puget Brass
Willson BBb 3100 FA5
Willson Eb 3400 FA5
..and a miriad of other JUNK not worth mentioning.

Re: Rudolf Meinl piston CC's?
Rudi had two piston CCs that predated the 4345 which has been in production since 1998. He also has mated piston sets to the 4/4 CC, BBb, and 5/4 BBb. The 4/4 and 5/4 models didn't feel as structurally solid as the 4345 and I wonder if the valve block was under braced or the braces were too lean. I didn't ask Rudi Jr. his thoughts and I favored the rotary models more. I'm also not sure what improvements he might have made in the last two years.

Comparing with the downloadable brochure I tend to think the piston tuba on the 2nd page linked to is a misplaced photo.
