Hi all,
Does anyone have a copy of the following tuba part they could send me?
"Star Wars Medley" arr. James Burden
I don't have a score and the part that the librarian put in my folder is a bass part with 'Bass' crossed out and tuba penciled in.
I'd like to see if I need to rattle some cages but I'd like to see if the parts are identical or not before pursuing this further with a newish gig.
Please email me at: toobist -at- gmail -dot- com
Thanks in advance for your help with this,
Al

Re: Part needed....
I have played a lot of Star Wars arrangements and I think I have played this one. I think my part was labeled "basses" and that there were actually cues marked "string bass" in various spots in the part. This always makes me think that it was originally a band transcription and was later arranged for orchestra.

A quick way to identify string bass parts is that there won't be any notes below the E natural on the first ledger line below the staff.

Oh it's certainly a bass part. I alao want to see the tuba part so I can be prepared when they realize their error.
Thanks.
Thanks.
