Solos

Post by MrHidan30 »

Who knows some standard grade 4 solos that I could do for my recital?
List as many as possible. Thanks

I'm just pulling these off of Google (as I'm not completely familiar with 'grades')

I'll add in that the Haddad and Lebedev are great choices :tuba:

(Sorry that these are all I could come up with, and if they aren't really grade fours)

Don Haddad suite was the piece that made me appreciate being a tuba player back in Grade 9. It's a nice piece, and I would definitely recommend it.

There is also the Five Songs, by ... Brahms, maybe?

The Five Songs by Brahms is arranged by Don Little. It is very playable and it would make an okay opener as it it isn't too hard so it let's you get your nerves out of the way. It is a grade 3_4.
You might consider the Bernstein Waltz for Mippy III. Depending on your range you might want to play the edition by Wekselblatt.
