New TubeNet Sucks or Rocks?

Post by WoodSheddin »

I know it has only been about 1.5 weeks, but curious how everyone is adapting to the new website?

You've GOT IT!

Finally....everything is right. All is on the screen and the fonts are easy to read. This is what makes it better and better each day. I can stop complaining about the switch now! Nice going and thanks for listening. Dale

yup, I'm very happy with the change. the new format is much more efficient, I think. the "search for posts since last visit" is invaluable. instead of trying to remember which threads you were following and having to wait for the whole page to load, that function just tells you what you've missed. very cool.

two thumbs way up!!

It's a "Good Thing"

It took a while to get used to, but I'm liking it fine now. Especially the quicker load-in. I have cable internet and the old board still took forever to load. The "new posts since last view" feature is what I use daily.

I'm getting used to it, but I miss being able to see who has been talking in a thread before opening it. I skip over a lot of threads now based on subject titles that don't immediately interest me, when I might not have in the old forum when I could see that interesting people were making comments.

And I miss those who left because they could not make the change. Mary Ann, where are you?

I have mixed feelings about the new TubeNet. There are features I like, such as tracking new posts. I do find that my browser will occasionally time-out before the site loads and the RSS feed is not working correctly.

The biggest thing I miss from the old TubeNet is the same thing everyone else misses. The ability to scan all the threads and determine who is participating and if there are any subthreads going.
