Wise guy tubas we've definitely heard of.
JP/Sterling 377 compensating Eb; Warburton "The Grail" T.G.4, RM-9 7.8, Yamaha 66D4; for sale > 1914 Conn Monster Eb (my avatar), ca. 1905 Fillmore Bros 1/4-size Eb, Bach 42B trombone

Hmmm...Micky Wrobleski is an endorser. (sorry for butchering your name, Micky...)
They don't look exactly like the other things. I haven't done more than a quick look, but it may be interesting.

Re: Wisemann tubas.
They are made in a small factory in Beijing. Wisemann prices are considerably higher than other Chinese made brass, which is why Wessex are not stocking.
The Wisemann non-compensated Eb tuba we had before played well, but was not in my opinion worth paying 50% more than a larger compensated EEb tuba from another factory.
I know Micky Wrobleski (Beijing Symphony) is involved in the development of all Wisemann tubas.
Micky, Sorry to not see you in Beijing - hope to catch up at Frankfurt!

Re: Wisemann tubas.
I have a Wisemann Eb/D trumpet. It is a competent copy of a Shilke E3. They worked with a former Shilke employee to get it right. That doesn't say anything about their tuba, but it does say something about their ambition and ability to get at least one instrument right.

To Missouri: Please understand that all I try to do, is get the most information I can from the people who know/experienced maybe different things than I have. Chinese horns really shouldn't be looked down upon. It's becoming the way of the future. I understand your frustration. But, try to see where people come from a little more.
Thanks,

And, I must make a retraction...Micky is no longer associated with Wisemann. At the time I posted my earlier comment, I had looked at their website and he was still listed as an endorser. I was informed yesterday that Micky has no connection with this company in any way. My apologies to you, Micky, for my misstatement.

There are still horns that were designed with his collaboration, correct?

Re: Wisemann tubas.
I just looked them up; Mr. Wrobleski and I have lived in the same states, give or take China.
I am curious as to why anyone would manufacture a horn such as the one this photo:

I know it's a traditional design, but so is a serpent.
