There's an app for Android and iPhone, iPad Touch, and iPad called 'SoundHound' that does just that. If you've got one of those platforms, you're gonna be able to work the same magic with this program. The uses of our modern interconnected technology never cease to amaze, and sometimes alarm, us.

SoundHound is FREE from the AppStore. Surprise, surprise!
However, I cannot get access to one of the most special apps I ever read about.
It is only available on Iceland, where the population aside from very little foreign influx may be traced back to a comparatively small group of settlers some 1100 years ago. As I understand it Iceland is the only country having mapped the genes of all its citizens, which is useful due to patterns of genetically founded diseases. The danger of inbreeding is to be considered.
Here comes in the app to avoid unwanted offspring from odd partying. Both parties open the app and let their smartphones face each other. Not the persons, but the phones are to face each other. The app then tells the degree of cousinship and issues appropriate warnings if needed.
