The Kodiak is a good horn, but, for me, it has just too big a sound and feels like CC tuba. I prefer a slightly smaller sound with a slightly better high range. The Yamaha plays really well if you like the sound and feel of a CC tuba when playing F tuba. For me, the Yamaha has too much CC character in the sound and I prefer to have a different voice for F tuba stuff. Also the Yamaha has an unstable high end and can be difficult to play for Bydlo. Just my observations with those a few other thrown in.
