Bluetooth headset for phones
I started this thread over 3 years ago and I now I need it again. I lost the bluetooth that I purchased during this time and I again need a replacement. As I get older, I find that I have a growing hatred for crappy products. Unfortunately, I am still a cheap bastard. With that being said, does anyone have a recommendation for a bluetooth headset for under $50 that doesn't make you sound like you are talking inside a metal box? One note: it must be A2DP.

Re: Bluetooth headset for phones
when i was looking at bluetooth headsets, i decided the single wing/ear ones all sound like crap.
i got a stereo pair (they are not cheap $65), but they sound great and have a long battery life. I also listen to music through them while biking. The ones I have are Motorola SD7-HD (or something like that).

I had to revive this thread. I at least upped my price from $30 to $50 to reflect inflation, and the fact I'm not as cheap as I once was.

I'll second this. I have one that I've had for a number of years without any problems.Grooving for Heaven wrote:you're not going to find a better bluetooth than a plantronics voyager 510, and I've bought a few of them from ebay for less than $50. there was a time when you could buy them new for less than that, but they are so legendary they go on ebay (referb or NOS) for more than they cost new

Thanks for the replies, but the Plantronics Voyager 510 does not appear to be A2DP.

Thanks again for all that replied. I got up this morning and found a Jawbone Era that met my requirements. Hopefully, this one won't arrive DOA like the last Jawbone I ordered.
