Inquiring knowledge on Perantucci mouthpiece

So I'm wanting to order a new PT88+ tuba mouthpiece. I know they make a regular PT88 with a standard shank but I don't know if they make an 88+ with one. I've tried calling but I get no answer, I have sent an E-mail and I'm waiting on a reply. Does anyone know if the 88+ has a standard or Euro shank?

It seems all PT mouthpieces without an "S" are Euro shank.

I have a gold PT-88+ heavy, which I am willing to sell. It does not have an "S" marking, but I bought it quite a while ago so may have been before they started stamping the "S." I can try it in a couple of American shank horns tomorrow if that would be helpful. I sent you an email yesterday re selling mine — in excellent condition and priced substantially less than a new one. PM me if interested...

Side note: Most of the better tubists that I know personally prefer the standard 88 over the heavyweight. Ymmv, of course.

I have a PT24+, PT48, and PT84 - all with the Euro (.530") shank. If you call Custom again, I would ask for either Neal or Jeff to find out about the "S" availability. The "+" heavy shell on my PT24 was an experiment on my part, and school is still out on that - I use the 48 and the 84 far more often than the 24, and really do not have enough hours in on that to offer any real opinion. I note that wtuba seems willing to part with his 88+, and that might give you a good way to try the heavier shell.
