Musical Scores for Study

Post by Steve Marcus »

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra has performed quite a varied selection of repertoire in the last few weeks.

I'm particularly curious about:

Ginastera: Panambi
Revueltas: Noche de Los Mayas
Villa-Lobos: Amazones

The Chicago Public Library has an impressive collection of scores that are available for the public to peruse; some are also circulating copies. But the CPL does not have the score to these three pieces.

Interlibrary Loan can take quite some time. Some libraries might own such items but not make them available for Interlibrary Loan.

So...

Since it's not practical to email an entire orchestral score, does anyone have the tuba part to these three pieces? If so, please PM me with an attachment or link. This is for personal study only. Thanks!

Steve,
My fading memory tells me the Santa Rosa (CA) Symphony Orchestra used to program Ginastera and Revueltas pieces. http://www.santarosasymphony.com/" target="_blank
Rod Mathews has been their principal tuba for a long time. He is (or was) a member of this board. Grasping at straws here, but perhaps he has a working copy of the tuba parts you need?

That's the first place I looked when I read the OP.

Didn't bother posting because none of the pieces listed in the OP are available.
