Re: Update Update
Had a great Father's Day! Both of my daughters spent the day with their husbands (who are fathers) while my wife and I shopped for a new toilet seat, a programmable thermostat, a shoe shelf for our closet, and a hand-held vacuum cleaner. The toilet seat and shoe shelf are already installed. Didn't want to risk starting on the thermostat because there is a Symphonic Band concert in a couple of hours.
Fairly uneventful but It's been a good day!... just the way I like it!
Heck... later tonight, I might just get really wild and drink another one of those 'Christmas beers' that's been in the fridge for six months!

Father's Day
Got up at 5:30 AM dressed and warmed up for a church gig with quintet. Played 2 services. Then to my daughter's for fantastic BBQ with Wife, Son, Daughter, granddaughters and in-laws. Caught a late afternoon nap. Watched the Braves beat the 49ers. Good day all around.

Oops! My brain thought Giants but my fingers typed 49ers. Same thing happens on tuba at times. Unfortunate but oh so true.

I am really looking forward to claiming my Father's Day/Birthday present tonight. Gourmet 7 course dinner with a different wine pairing for each course, under the stars, in the vineyards at Chateau Elan. Can't wait! You have been updated.

Re: Update Update
I might be interested in participating if you could only find a way to offer "a unique reverse taper throat" throughout the new line. Whadda ya think? Like my idea?bloke wrote:I have an idea for a new line of tuba mouthpieces that would benefit the tuba community...
They would be modular, made of stainless steel, optionally offer titanium rim coating as well as option Lexan rims.
There would be several cup sizes, various back bores, shank sizes, and quite a few rims (both familiar and new designs) from which to choose.
All I need is for some folks to contribute $100,000 to my "kick starting" website, and I'm off and running !

Re: Update Update
Terri and I spent last weekend in Milwaukee at The National Sangerfest 2013. On Saturday, we took what they call a 'Beer Barons' tour. During the course of the tour they gave us samples of Blatz, Schlitz, Miller Lite, and Pabst. Of course, they are all bottled by Miller these days. These beers are an important part of Milwaukee's history and the locals seem quite proud of them. But.... but my question is... does anyone really drink this crap?
