Ladies and Gentlemen of Tubenet. The Queensland Symphony Orchestra low brass section and Griffith University brass department proudly announce the following event to be held in Brisbane Australia.

Brisbane Lower Brass Weekend

Friday 6 September 2013 (1pm) to Sunday 8 September 2013 (5pm)

Queensland Conservatorium, Brisbane, Australia

Featuring the lower brass faculty of the Queensland Conservatorium:

Programme

Friday 6 September: faculty recital, masterclasses (solo performance/orchestral excerpts), lectures

Saturday 7 September:  masterclasses (solo performance, audition preparation and contemporary techniques), faculty Q & A, massed lower brass choir, warm-up class

Sunday 8 September: mock audition competition for all lower brass instruments - including final sectional playing round with QSO lower brass (all rounds in front of an audience and panel), sectional playing workshop with the QSO lower brass, hearing protection workshop
