Years ago I bought this India POS "euphonium" ( that was how it was listed on eBay) not knowing it was a "P.O.S" instrument. I've had this thing for about 8 years and was tired of it just collecting dust. So this weekend I turned it into a sprinkler for my wife's garden.
Normally I hate to see a instrument being wastefully turned in a wall hanging on a restaurant wall or as someone's planter but this thing was of no real musical value. It had a dreadful sound and was miserably out of tune . This is about as useful as it gets.
Those of you who want to know how I made it I took pictures that you can view here : http://s2.photobucket.com/user/jty05/sl ... 0Sprinkler" target="_blank

The middle school where I student taught bought a slew of these things, when they had something like 18 baritone students sign up one year. Although they played terribly initially, they sent one off for an econo valve job and were surprised at the results. They are now sending off a few a year for the same, to have very playable student baritones.

Not enough water overhead. The Atlantic ocean would look better.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
