I believe I have performed parts somewhere for one or both the Suites from Bizet Carmen, (perhaps originals by E. Guiraud? or probably one of several arrangements that certainly exist) but am trying to confirm if there is a tuba part in any of the usual full opera scores presentations.
I didn't see tuba on the opening page of 2 different IMSLP scores, so I'm doubtful.
...but not keen to browse through all of the other hundreds of pages to be sure....
Maybe Chris H or one of you other opera guys knows for sure and would chime in..
thanks!

Re: Opera Orchestration -- Carmen
Definitely no tuba or cimbasso part in the opera score for Carmen. Sorry!
My opinion for what it's worth...

In Suite No. 1 the tuba is tacet. There is a tuba part for Suite No. 2.
