looking for some memory for an old computer

Post by cjk »

I'm looking for a quantity of three 1GB PC 133 sdram 168 pin dimms to make an old computer more useful. Anybody have some in their old box of computer junk? Send me a pm.

If you strike out, you might try "FreeGeek" - a volunteer outfit that recycles old computers and parts. I think there may be a franchise in Athens GA, calling itself "Free IT" (obviously phone before you drive). These guys are into open software and Linux.

There are also recycling groups supplying Windows based computers and networks for charities (and selling machines and parts to support themselves) who may also be worth a try; one or two of our local groups are named "Reboot" - there is probably something similar near you.
