I've not been able to contact Steve Hubbard by his phone or e-mail.
Anyone know what's going on?
Steve did a marvelous job reworking the valves and valve linkages on my Miraphone 186 and took out some dents. I'm purchasing a horn from him, starting in February, and can't get in touch with him.

Re: Steve Hubbard search
FOUND! Steve is alive and well, only way too busy. He is shipping the horn he found and refurbished for me, a 1915-1920 Czechoslovakian Eb Sousaphone!
He did a lot of work getting this horn back into great playing shape, and I'd recommend his work highly if he isn't too busy. Anyway, he reduced the price because of the long wait.
An aside, buying an older horn with valve problems and getting them re-worked is a good way to save a bundle over a new horn. And, the older horn may have a few dents, which gets you away from the dreaded fear of putting your first dent in a new horn, like my Miraphone 191A! Almost afraid to take it to gigs, so take my wonderful old 186 that has just the right amount of dents and scratches and has had the valve linkages replaced and the rotary valves cleaned thoroughly, and they all work well now.
