For Sale/Trade Meinl Weston 45S

Post by torresmex90 »

Hello, I'm looking to sell my F tuba. Needs a good home! I own a Meinl Weston 45S tuba (five rotary valves) It is a large F tuba- sounds wonderful, and I greatly enjoy playing on it- but I'm looking to downsize a bit. I'm curious to see what's out there- if you're at all interested, please contact me and let me know what you can offer as a trade or if interested in purchasing.

Also selling outright for $4,700. Comes with Altieri gig bag.

The horn is in excellent condition, a few scratches along the bottom bow and a few minor dings in the bell that are almost impossible to notice.

Horn is located just outside of NYC.

I tried to take the best pictures that I could. If you'd like different angles of the horn, let me know and I can send to you.

Thanks,

Ulysses

Is it a 45S or 45SLZ? You refer to it as both. They are two distinctly different models.

Either way, very good horns.

Someone might offer to buy it outright from you if they knew your asking price. FWIW

Good luck!

Thanks for catching that!! It is indeed a 45S, not sure what I was thinking

Looking for trades first, but will post an asking price if there is no interest in one

I recently had a chance to play this tuba, it plays very well, easy and even response through the registers, large and full sound, resonant in sound and in the hands (not heavy or dull). In great condition as well.
