Mouthpiece similar to MF3

Post by ECUorchbound »

I'm looking for a mouthpiece that has a similar depth and rim to the Mike Finn MF3. I've been playing on an MF3 on my Rudy Meinl 5/4 and I love the sound I'm getting from it, but the mouthpiece is too heavy and is giving me a sound that is "too dark" at times and can be muddy also. Suggestions?

Give Mike Finn a call... I think he makes lightweight versions of his mouthpieces. If you like it except for the weight, maybe that would be a good option for you?
