some of the most inspiring listening to me is any early Empire Brass recordings. Sam Pilafian and Rolf Smedvig make one blissful combination.other favorites are Pat Sheridan,Gene Pokorny's first cd(especially Vaughn Williams Folk Song Studies), and anything John Fletcher(Philip Jones Brass Ensemble). just some of my favorites...
