For Sale: Yamaha 641 Compensating Euphonium
Hi, I'm putting my Yamaha 641 compensating euphonium up for sale. This model is almost the same as the current 642 model, but the 641 has an 11" bell. My euphonium has a couple of dings, scratches, and wear here and there. This horn has recently been flushed, cleaned, serviced, etc. (about 2 months ago) so it is in playing shape and ready to go.
A picture is located at http://www.alftv.net/images/EuphoniumAfter2.jpg
I'd like to get $2300 for it (I'll pay for shipping to Continental United States - insurance included). I'm selling this (and a couple of other horns) so I can buy a Shires tenor trombone (http://www.seshires.com) - great horns!
<EDIT>One thing I forgot to mention is how I acquired this horn. The last owner was a bit careless and dented the second valve, so naturally I bought it. I had the second valve replaced, the valve is brand new, and everything else works great.</EDIT>
Please e-mail me at ParLawGod@Yahoo.com if you're interested (or PM me).

This sounds like a good deal to me. I play on a 641 and they're excellent! I wish you were selling it about 4 years ago.
EuphoniumDude should contact you in my opinion.

Definitely is a great horn! I hate to get rid of it - but since I'm a trombone major in college I really need to invest in a better trombone. I'm currently playing Principal Euphonium in my college wind ensemble and since the school is letting me use their Besson 967 there's really no reason to keep mine. A few people asked me "why don't you sell your double-bell euphonium" - my response - "nope".
