Melton 182 receiver?

Has anyone swapped the receiver on a Melton 182 for something larger, like a 52J/2341 receiver? The one I have seems to be too small to properly take an American shank and my bass bone shank pieces bottom out.

My 182 has a "normal" receiver that its tuba mps well. It measures 14.5mm (0.57") at the end.

Thanks for the info, Mr. Brook. I wonder if mine has something different, as American shank mps on mine go in about an inch and wobble enough to leak on lower notes.
