Hey, Bloke, I was just wonderin' -- surely there must have been high-pitch sousaphones, right? You s'pose any of them would get you close enough to make them work?

BTW, I believe it was Lee Stofer who was experimenting with converting the Eb sousa to CC. I'm thinking I later read that he didn't get a usable scale out of it. Hopefully Lee will correct me if I'm mistaken.

Not close enough--the difference between CC and BBb is about 2 feet, where the difference between HP and LP on a BBb is only about 8 inches. :(
