King 2341-2341W, Is There a Difference
Hello Is there a difference between a King 2341BBbb Tuba and a 2341 W-BBbb? I was on the King(Conn- Selmer) Website and noticed 2 different windows for the Tuba model(s). All the specs were the same, bore, bell size, number of valves. Is a 2341 W normally marked with a W after the model number? The pics looked identical to me. The site stated( if I understood it correctly) the 2341 was the same as a 2341W but without the case. Really????? If there is a difference, can someone please post or get back to me. Thanks and Happpy Holidays, John McKevitt bobbie-john@att.net" target="_blank

I concur. The 'W' simply means WITH case.KiltieTuba wrote:Yep, that's the ONLY difference.MikeMason wrote:I think that's correct

And the Elephant said "I thought it meant "Working version" meaning that the valve guide slots were machined properly." Oh were that but true....
Still, I really like mine especially after having the springs replaced with Yamaha springs, the valve guides with Meinl Weston nylon valve guide, going to a thicker valve oil, Hetman's #3 and adding a Blokepiece Symphony euro shank. The W does come with a decent hard case though.

No, it's one of the Conn 5xJ's.
