An emphatic 'YES'! The holidays have really put me behind on repairs and some of my personal projects.
I would like to put in 40 hours in the shop just to keep my sanity. My wife just retired completely after working part-time for the last couple of years. My schedule until she retired was basically to work when she did. That way we could enjoy the time together when she was off. Don't misunderstand me... I still enjoy spending time with her but my shop time is suffering from all the distraction.

It has been awhile since I have now ventured to post anything on Update Update. I will say this: my New Year's resolution for 2014 - daily practice, even if it is just going through my scales.
Beginning again to be a tuba player.

No. But with a little more practice she should be able to handle a buffer!

Supposed to be 7 degrees in Atlanta Monday night. Guess I had better pay some attention to the water pipes. Doesn't get that cold here that often, thank goodness.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
The governor of Minnesota cancelled school in the entire state for this Monday, because of extreme cold. In the Twin Cities, it'll only be -15 for a high. Cold even for people who know cold! Why am I considering going to grad school there?

Hi-
Monday from 11AM thru Wednesday 6 AM we have a wind chill warning and snow warning--wind chill may be minus 35 below zero AND a Lake Effect snow storm warning--if anyone would like their horn to be cryogenically frozen for free, just send it on up here and I'll put it in the back yard.....

We're -15 F this morning with a high temp projection of -10 F. With the wind, it is -40 to -50 F. Monday morning we start at -30 F and add wind. A great time to stay in and practice.

What happened to the much advertised "Ice Bowl" 2? Don't weathermen have any shame? If a tuba player was wrong as much as any of them he would never get another gig!
