If you are looking for someone who still orders them talk to Alexander. They sell them in the downtown shop as student F tubas. I don't know what you need but they may be able to help

There is a passage from one of David Werden's sites that says Dalyan brass instruments are no longer produced. Their plant in Dalian China was converted to auto body production. Go figure.

"When I was in China in 2008, I visited sixteen (that's right, 16) factories in 11 different cities that were producing low brass instruments, the largest of which (Dalian) was turning out tubas on par, if not better than, Jupiter and in some cases approaching, if not equalling, Yamaha. (Dalian has since shut down its musical instrument division to concentrate on its primary business, auto bodys.) These were not simply different plants owned/operated by one company; these were 16 different companies. I was told by relatives at the time--and have no reason to disbelieve them--that there were over 200 companies producing brasswind instruments. More recently, over on TubeNet, Jonathan Hodgetts of Wessex Tubas reported that he was told there are over 3000 Chinese factories manufacturing brasswind instruments."

Do you mean Gebr. Alexander, Mainz?

Yep! One year ago I bought from Alexander, Mainz my new F Tuba Dalyan Ensemble 5 (Neptune?) as a bargain. (Yes, it came as a Db Tuba! but Alexander converted it to F free of cost)

Now I am looking for more Informations about Dalyan an their instruments, especially the big CC Tuba (Apollo?)

Correct. Last time I was at the downtown store they had three of them. They didn't have any other models however.
