Not mine, but could be a good deal for $500. Case looks good too.

I still find it amusing that people can't take pictures with decent lighting...but I guess that's "par" for the course on craigslist.

I was thinking the same thing... If using an iPhone it's easy to tap the screen to get the light to adjust. Regardless, these are nice playing tubas if you need a small, three-valver. I played this convertible model in high school.Tubajug wrote:I still find it amusing that people can't take pictures with decent lighting...but I guess that's "par" for the course on craigslist.

Re: Conn 15J Near Cincinnati
When I was a sophomore in HS (the first year of high school in those days and in that place) my school got eight of these. In marching band we purely loved them as a replacement for the fiberglass sousas the band had been using for a number of years.WilliamVance wrote: I was thinking the same thing... In concert band, though, they tended to end up in the laps of the lower end of the section. There were some B&S and Meinl-Weston horns that were a lot older, but that the better players gravitated toward. The point being that when other factors counted more than bouncing the sound off the press box they weren't as satisfactory. Such at least is my 35 year old memory.
