If I recall correctly, the dude got a Yamaha 51D, not a 51, perhaps a typo in his recent post.
I held a Schilke 51D and Yamaha 51D side by side last Thursday. The Schilke had a slightly more rounded rim (the Yamaha is quite flat), bore looked the same, cup depth looked the same but the Yamaha was slightly less cupped (more funnel shaped). Cup inside diameter "looked" the same but according to the manufactures' the Yamaha is 25.24mm and the Schilke is 25.55mm.
