I don't know very much about the Festival. What I do know is that there aren't many more pleasant places to be in the summer than "on the mountain."

No lie, it is a beautiful place to be for the middle of the summer. The University of the South which hosts this event is seated atop the scenic Cumberland Plateau. The festival is 4 weeks of weekly lessons, masterclasses, orchestra concerts, chamber music and faculty performances. Repertoire, faculty and conductors including our application can all be seen via our website.

If my son gets the summer gig he wants in the admissions office, he'll be in the horn section for those joint concerts with the Sewanee Symphony.
