Help ID this old tuba solo

Post by Tim Jackson »

I think the name was Uno Poco Piu - tuba solo with piano - a transcription most likely.
something I played in high school.
Early 70s. Can anyone remember this or the correct name maybe. I'm trying to locate the music for a recital project.
Any help would be great!
Thanks, Tim

Tim — not much to go on, but your post made me think of this: "Una voce m'ha colpito" which is an aria from a Rossini opera. I remember playing a transcription of this for euphonium many, many years ago. Another possibility might be "Una Voce Poco Fa" also an opera aria, from Rossini's Barber of Seville. I don't know of such a transcription, but one could certainly exist. Ot you could make your own. Hope this helps a little. wtuba

I think it dates back even to the 50's Joe. I remember working on this with Walter Beeler when I was in college....wtrap
