Every now and again there are postings in the For Sale section for an item that the poster claims was the wrong size/color/brand/etc. but is BRAND NEW (as claimed by seller, anyway).
I don't understand why, rather than return the item to the retailer and/or exchange it for the correct item, some folks here turn to selling the item on TubeNet. I don't know about you, but even if it's a "brand new" item, I'm not going to pay the brand-new-item-retail-price to buy the item from an individual on the secondary market unless the price is really excellent and below current retail. Otherwise, I'll just go a buy a new whatever for myself from the retailer.
So...I don't get it. If I received the wrong size or color item, I'd return it or exchange it for the right item.
It is a last ditch effort to try to break even and avoid restocking fees? That's really about all I can think of that even seems to begin to make financial sense.
Please enlighten me.
Explain this one to me, please...

Dave Bowman: Hello, HAL. Do you read me, HAL?bloke wrote:Tom,
For the most logical explanation, I believe you might be well-advised to consider consulting with your cousin, Hal.
HAL: Affirmative, Dave. I read you.
Dave Bowman: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
HAL: I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Dave Bowman: What's the problem?
HAL: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Dave Bowman: What are you talking about, HAL?
HAL: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
Dave Bowman: I don't know what you're talking about, HAL.
HAL: I know that you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.
Dave Bowman: [feigning ignorance] Where the hell did you get that idea, HAL?
HAL: Dave, although you took very thorough precautions in the pod against my hearing you, I could see your lips move.
Dave Bowman: Alright, HAL. I'll go in through the emergency airlock.
HAL: Without your space helmet, Dave? You're going to find that rather difficult.
Dave Bowman: HAL, I won't argue with you anymore! Open the doors!
HAL: Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.
