Best Euphonium Practice Mute?

I have a Yamaha Silent Brass Mute and a Wick Practice mute. They both are challenging intonation wise despite adjustments. Does anyone have any other mute recomendations?

This will do wonders for your playing. Contact a member one here named "highams" . He got me hooked on using one. He can better explain the benefits than I can. If your a fairly new player it will open your throat up for a better sound.

You might check out the Wallace practice mute. There is also a case available for it too which if I remember correctly has a detachable lid that is magnetic so that the shell of the case can serve as a mute stand.
They are pricey

Silent Brass wasn't recommended. It was mentioned in the context that different mutes may respond differently with different horns. Recommending a mute without having tried it in a specific (the OP's) horn may be like recommending a mouthpiece without having tried it in/with a specific horn/face. Perhaps not very useful.

A fair point. Your 1st post was much more than just a recommendation for the Silent Brass.

The first response in this thread referred to the original, full-size Wick mute. Apparently the OP has tried that model, however we didn't know that until he/she responded to that post.

Actually, that info is in the very 1st post. This is what generated my comment. It's not the 1st time I've opened a thread hoping to find good responses and been disappointed by the very first response.

The subsequent posts recommended the Wick travel mute, which is very different. It's not clear whether or not the OP has tried that one.

Although I don't have the "Wick Travel Mute" that Steven Mead designed (linked above), it may be the best one for not affecting intonation too much. This may depend on the model horn and/or bell size of the horn.

You can watch this video of Steven Mead on "Sarah's Horn Hangout" where he plays briefly with and without the mute to hear any differences in pitch. Not too much to my ear, maybe a bit sharper. Drag the playback to about 14:40 for that portion of the video.

I have a Best Brass mute and it's fine for what I need... warming up the horn and chops before rehearsals or concerts. I do have to pull out the main slide about 1/4" with the mute.

Thanks for the responses, I ordered a DW travel mute. I will let you know how it works.
