Nice Article on Bass Trombonist

Post by Ace »

I just ran across this article on Joe Stanko, one of NYC's busiest and best bass trombonists. I've done business with him, selling an instrument or two. He doubles on tuba also. He may have posted a little on this board in the past. My contacts with him have been few, but quite friendly. He even sent me a photo of the pit orchestra he was working a job on at that time.

That is a really sweet love story, buried between the lines at times.

Very cool! Sorry I didn't see it 5 1/2 years ago when it first ran! Joe is a great guy one hell of a good player!
