Wow. The nearby Cracker Barrel has the same poster, but it's near the ceiling and I haven't been able to get a good photo to figure out who and what it is. Mystery solved, except what is the tuba??

On Facebook, I was told by a tubist who I suspect has some knowledge of the matter that the tuba in question is a King Eb, which had been owned by Bill Bell.

So, we now know WHO, and WHAT....but WHY? There's no advertising per se on the poster. The tuba isn't really identifiable, at least not in the pictures I've seen. Possibly a close up look at the actual poster would give better visual of the engraving, but that's not so important any more.

Since there are at least 2 of these still in captivity, what was the purpose of this poster?

Hey, I stuck to finding the personnel of a specific track from 1982 and finally got most of the answer in 2012. But, before I could get all of the details, my source died.

Classroom identification of instruments. Hang em' on the wall when you do a module on brasses. Hence the bassoon on the flip-side.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

It's pretty much confirmed to be the King Eb. And yes, it's from a series by JW Pepper, all Philadelphia members.

EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION:
yes, the tuba Mr T is holding in the inset picture is the King. Apparently that tuba went from Bill Bell to Abe Torchinsky to Bob Rusk to Mike Lynch. Mr T said it was his favorite horn for "The Bear".

So, the plot dissipates in one area, goes back to thick in another. A couple of comments on my FB page also said Reynolds. And, after Dale's comment, looking closer, could that be a CC? But, Reynolds and CC don't make a lot of sense to me. But, I certainly don't know all about the Reynolds history. I wish I could see that picture at Cracker Barrel close up!

The horn in the drawing has ferrules and braces that look like a Holton
