Amati 5 valved F(price drop)

Post by brendanige »

For sale is a 5 valved Amati F. Intonation is good and low register is comparable to my B and S. (good) Old style S style linkages that could use updating. This tuba sounds really good!

Looks like a fun horn! I really love the style of some of these older F tubas.

Where is the instrument located?

This is a great little F tuba! In my experience, the S-bends were a lot smoother and quieter than I anticipated.
It can really sing for you if you let it.

Interested, but I'm paying for a wedding in November and I'm in Houston. I'll check again once finances have settled. Seems like an awesome horn!

Somebody buy this. It's a sweet F at an unbeatable price. I used to own it, and had the fifth valve added by Norm Epley, who did a great job. I would not hesitate to buy it again, except I have settled down to do whatever I do with CC tubas. If you want a german-style F, you will not find a better opportunity anywhere near this price range. You won't be sorry.
