B&S VMI worth price?
So on craigslist I posted a wanted ad for a tuba or a bass trombone. I was looking to trade my xbox 360 or a broken moped for one of the two. I know it may not seem like a best trade but hey you ever know whose out there! I just wanted something of more use to me, to play or tinker around with. Some guy replied with his B&S VMI made in East Germany for 600$. I wasn't looking to dish out cash but is this a good deal? pic he sent below

If it is not damaged and is not stolen, yes $600 is a great deal! Probably worth $1000 more if it plays well.

For $600.00 you're basically stealing it.
This is the B&S model 101 that has been sold under an almost unbelievable number of stencil names. Mine carries the Sonora name. There was one on here in the past few days that was labelled Giardinelli. Same horn, they were almost all good players and some could be very, very good.
Even if the one you're considering needs a little work, it's still an extremely good deal. Go for it!

But in all seriousness, it's worth the money tenfold.

Tenfold might be a bit of a stretch. Still: Run, don't walk, back to the seller and plunk it down. If you don't want it, buy it and resell it. You already have legitimate offers, and I'll throw my hat in the ring as well.TubaZac2012 wrote:+1bloke wrote:Buy it and sell it to me for $800.
