While performing Beelzebub recently, someone asked about the dedication that appears on the top of the music.
"Dedicated to my friend, G. Marquardt, Tuba Solist"
I've played that piece for a long time and I don't know who G. Marquardt is? Obviously a friend of the composer, but who is he/she? Where did they play? Inquiring minds want to know!
I tried google, came up empty on my searches. Tuba source books too.
Anyone know any information on the subject?
Curious...
