Looks odd to me. I think it might look more normal if I liked, and therefore looked at, sousaphones more than I do, but that isn't the way most BBb sousaphones are wrapped in my experience.

The seller said that. Did you actually look at the auction? "Vintage BESSON BBb Silver Sousaphone RARE FIND L@@K!! TUBA" He also says it's silver.KiltieTuba wrote:Who said it was in BBb?talleyrand wrote:Looks odd to me. So yeah. It's weird.

I have to admit that I agree with Ian on this one. It's not BBb, no matter what the ad says. It's a bit odd all the same, but this is the first Besson souzie I've seen. It's not designed like the Conn, King, Buescher, York, Holton, etc.

Sure looks like an Eb. I have a wrap like it hanging in my shop.eupher61 wrote:I have to admit that I agree with Ian on this one. It's not BBb, no matter what the ad says. Re: Besson sousaphone - weird(?)
I have a Besson BBb. Same one I started on 45 years ago, in fact. It is NOT wrapped like the one in the picture. I do not recall seeing a Besson Eb live. Maybe it would like this one...
By the way, the one I have looks like hell, but it is a TREMENDOUS sousaphone...

I completely agree that it looks like (and no doubt is) an Eb.
