Case for a new King 2341?

Post by ArnoldGottlieb »

Hi Everybody,
I just got a new style King 2341 without a case. I'm looking for a case and wondering if anybody has opinions or experience with MTS or SKB cases and if there are other choices I don't know about.
Thanks
Arnold

The MTS has worked well for me. If I recall it is the 1207. If I recall correctly, I think the case King was selling with the horn new was a rebadged MTS case. Under the bus - in a truck it works well. I'm not sure if it (or your horn) would hold up well for a lot of airplane flights.

The hard case that came with my King 2341 (with their logo on it) is excellent for protecting the horn . The wheels are small and close together so just be aware it can be a bear to move over uneven ground. I think Bloke is right on its about as good as you can get for the money. Standing with the Bell down it is 41" tall, 29" from hinge side to closure side and at bell width is 24". I mention this because I ride to one band with two to three others and the case with horn only fits in a van or suv. I would guess you would find a similar problem with any hard case because of the horn's bell width. It will not fit in the trunk of any car that I have ridden in including a full size sedan. Side by side, I think it is a better quality case than a couple of others I put it on the floor by at rehearsals that belong to the school where we have practice. Congratulations on you wonderful new horn.
