What do you considered "mass produced" for what time period?
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

The time period is what I'm asking about. When was the first CC tuba produced. NOT a prototype or custom-build... but a bona-fide production CC.

OK. No one seems to get the question. So... Let's try something a bit different:

- What's the oldest F tuba you've owned, ever seen, or known about?

- What's the oldest Eb tuba you've owned, ever seen, or known about?

- What's the oldest CC tuba you've owned, ever seen, or known about?

- What's the oldest BBb tuba you've owned, ever seen, or known about?

Prototypes are good to note. Custom or 'cut' tubas are not.

Don't get into the 'mass produced', 'production line', or 'hand-built' argument. I'm looking for real data on when the different keys came into being on a regular basis.

The Eb tuba was the original contrabass of the Saxhorn family: Saxhorn Contrebasse en Mi bemol.
