I try and try and try to play computer games, but nowadays I just feel like I'm wasting time when I do
XIII is a neat game that I recently played a bit(I believe it's based on the same series that the new movie "Sin City" is based on).. the graphics engine is the most impressive I've ever seen, and a refreshing move
away from the "let's make this video game look as realistic as possible" trend that made me lose interest in video games.
Another game I've really liked(though not multiplayer) is American McGee's "Alice", which came out around 1999 or so. It's a trip back through the looking glass, but with a Tim Burton style twist to it... great soundtrack on it by Chris Vrenna, as well.
When I got my iBook I bought a dozen or so games afterwards, but still haven't played most of them as real life just keeps getting in the way! Here's a list:
Halo(the variety in the game made kept it interesting for a bit, but it still got old quickly)
Return to Castle Wolfenstein(I enjoy the multiplayer about 2 or 3 times a month when I'm waiting for the pizza guy to show up)
Homeworld 2(truly challenging game, I'd probably play this a lot if I had time)
Black & White(haven't played yet, but looks kinda neat)
Some Racing Game(obviously haven't played it yet)
XIII (really neat graphics, appealing single player.. though I haven't played it much)
American McGee's Alice(the game is almost as well written as the original Carroll novels, great story in which to participate)
Myst DVD anniversary edition(got it as a gift and haven't installed it yet)
there are a few others that I can't think of.. MarbleBlast Gold is a lot of fun(Leland knows what I'm talking about!), too!
