......It is essential that the musicians of ICSOM (International Conference of Opera and Symphony Musicians) respond whenever and wherever our members are in need. It is through our united network of orchestras that we can effectively articulate that a move against one of us is a move against all of us. In this way, we will demonstrate to all of our managements that our communities deserve positive stewardship of their cherished cultural institutions.........

I wonder (maybe Schlepp could pipe up here): Is this something we can discuss, or is this politics? I'd like to contribute here, but don't want to waste my time and everyone else's.

Re: ICSOM Call to Action for the Musicians of Atlanta Sympho
We have had several posts about several different musician groups contract troubles. There are a lot of musician members here. I don't disagree that maybe the main page is not the place for it, but it certainly has to do with music. The real question for me is how long am I going to have to rely on CD's and radio. That's a poor substitute.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
